This group is located in Gurgaon and has a vacancy for a Technical Architect, who reporting to the Chief Operating Officer,

will be responsible for technical assistance with the acquisition of new businesses, will be responsible for leading the team in India, will interact closely with the team in other parts of the world to develop group-wide softwareplatforms, and will be expected to act as a technical consultant to the regional executives. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the global architecture team.
    
Experience 5-10 Years
Job Description  Assist with technical due diligence activities during the acquisition of new businesses in India , South-East Asia and other parts of the world.

•

Produce the appropriate reports to give insight into the technical risks associated with new business acquisitions – this includes assessment of scalability, suitability, stability and other relevant parameters.

•

Validate the architecture for new group-wide platforms and applications.

•

Assist with validating and evaluating the architecture of existing platforms and applications.

•

Contribute towards creating innovative web based products and services.

•

Willingness and ability to do hands-on coding is imperative – you will be required to contribute code to group's ongoing projects.

•

Lead teams and interact with project management to help establish priorities and advise on the technical options, opportunities, and costs of solutions.

•

Act as scrum master and product owner.

•

Active involvement in the knowledge sharing activities of the group, by contributing to the blog, actively participating in the group wide knowledge sharing platform, and evangelising web and media related technologies.

•

Interact with senior executives and others in the group in an advisory technical capacity.

Qualifications and Experience

•

A four-year degree in Information Technology, Informatics, Mathematics, Physics or

related fields is imperative.

•

A minimum of 7 years experience in an IT technical role.

•

Familiarity with Object Orientation, MVC frameworks, REST based communication, Web 2.0, AJAX and commonly used web application technologies and tools.

•

Expert capabilities in a broad range of technologies, with specific experience in web technology, relational databases and network infrastructure

•

UML experience is essential

•

Experience with large scale distributed systems

•

Familiarity with agile software development life-cycle, scrum a bonus Other

•

You may be expected to travel frequently, and should be able to travel internationally at short notice.

•

A third language such as Chinese, Portuguese, Russian, Thai or Spanish will be an added advantage.• You HAVE to be passionate about the Internet, and the Web
